Thanks to this genoa sleeve specially designed for your boat, you can be sure that your foresail is perfectly protected when you are not sailing.

Why protect your genoa or jib with a cover?

While sailboat owners often have the habit of protecting their mainsail, they do not necessarily have this reflex for their genoa, jib, staysail, or gennaker. Yet, the genoa and jib are sails just as fragile as the mainsail. To avoid premature wear of the genoa or jib caused by water, UV rays, salt, and especially wind, it is therefore important to protect it with a genoa cover.

A custom-made genoa cover or sleeve

Since every sailboat is different, SNA offers to make your genoa sleeve custom-made. To do this, simply send us the size of your luff from the furler. No worries if you don’t know it; SNA can calculate its theoretical length based on your boat model.

Once the measurements are provided, the manufacturing of your custom genoa sleeve begins in our workshops in Sarzeau, Brittany. Relying on our unique digital modeling and cutting technologies, we guarantee the manufacturing and shipping of your sleeve within three days. It will be made of a high-performance, waterproof fabric and an adjustable pulley system ensuring a perfect furling.

This custom design, combined with carefully studied technology, guarantees a cover perfectly snug around your foresail, eliminating all risks of water infiltration and wind catch.

Genoa cover: installation in a few minutes

Besides being effective, the SNA genoa sleeve is very practical because it installs in just a few minutes. To hoist it, simply:

•    Attach the spinnaker halyard to the cover’s strap
•    Position the sleeve around the genoa
•    Engage the zipper, closing it about one meter
•    Hook the line fixed on the zipper slider to the boat’s pulpit
•    Hoist the spinnaker halyard
•    Close the end of the zipper
•    Attach the sleeve’s tack to the boat
•    Furl the sleeve using the two ropes operating the cover’s pulley system
•    Tie the ropes to the boat once the sleeve is furled

To lower the genoa sleeve, simply:

•    Release the spinnaker halyard
•    Detach the tack and furling ropes from the boat
•    Open the zipper and lower the sleeve gradually

Once lowered, the genoa cover can be folded into a compact roll that is easy to store on the boat.
