Highfield Patrol 600 Bolster Cover

This protective cover for your captain’s seat is designed and made in Brittany by SNA, the outdoor marine protection experts.
It protects the seat’s faux leather from UV rays, which can otherwise cause it to fade, crack and eventually tear.

It is made from the highest-quality materials to ensure a durable, hard-wearing product.

We offer a choice of three materials to suit every budget. All three materials are waterproof; the main difference is their level of breathability. If a material is airtight, condensation will form.

- The best value for money: our lightweight, technical PVC-coated fabric, weighing 325 g/m² and coated on both sides. Waterproof and easy to clean, it will protect your bolster from UV rays and marine conditions. As it is a coated fabric, some condensation may form.

- No condensation with Dralon, a genuine woven fabric made from solution-dyed acrylic yarns. This waterproof, breathable fabric will not fade in the sun.

- The best of both worlds: polyester, a highly durable, woven-look material that is waterproof and slightly breathable.

The cover is stitched with UV-treated sail thread and fitted with polyester webbing for UV resistance.

Boat mounting hardware is included.

Installation: The attachment method depends on the bolster’s configuration. If it has handles or a gap beneath the seat, the cover is usually secured with webbing straps and quick-release buckles. If the leaning post is compact, the best way to keep the cover from blowing away is to screw two pad eyes into the front and thread a strap through them, secured with a ladder-lock buckle (a flat plastic buckle like those on backpacks). The same applies at the back.
