Description
Resistance and Durability
Sunbrella fabrics are known for their resistance to UV rays and fading, retaining their vibrant colors despite constant exposure to sun, salt, and chlorine in demanding marine environments.
They also resist mold. The manufacturer's warranty for this fabric is 10 years.
In case of tough stains, such as mold, Sunbrella fabrics can be cleaned with bleach diluted to 10% without losing their color.
Protection and Comfort
All Sunbrella marine fabrics are approved by the Skin Cancer Foundation, providing valuable protection against the sun. UV protection varies depending on the colors. For example, white and light colors offer less protection than dark colors.
Unlike some marine fabrics that trap moisture, Sunbrella fabrics allow air to pass through, preventing condensation on the covered object, such as boat electronics, and the formation of mold, for example on seats.
Its breathability combined with its waterproofness (up to 40cm of rain in 24 hours) makes it the premium fabric for sail protection, so we recommend and use it to make mainsail covers and lazy bags.
Various Uses
They are suitable for making dodgers, protecting the crew from wind and spray at anchor and while sailing.
They are recommended for making wheel covers, console covers, bench covers, bolsters, leaning posts, and also for garden furniture.
They are used to make winter covers, ideal for protecting your boat in all weather conditions.
