SEPARABLE zippers (meaning each side of the zipper can be detached, for example, to close your jacket, a separable zipper is sewn in) are available from 0.25 to 26m. The availability of these long lengths allows you to replace the existing zippers on your sailpack or your genoa covers.
A single pull slider is mounted on the zipper. You can replace it with a double pull slider which can also be ordered on our website, by clicking here.

9 mm separable zipper. Nylon tape and 10 mm wide plastic teeth, UV-treated for outdoor use.
If you need a zipper in a custom size, you can shorten it by cutting at the slider and creating a stop by sewing a piece of webbing on each side. This way, you have a zipper that matches the desired length.
Handling the zipper
Always use both hands when pulling the zipper slider, one hand holding the fabric and the other pulling the slider.
Do not attach a cord to the pull tab hole, but to the body of the slider.
Never try to force a zipper to slide if something is stuck; you risk bending the slider and preventing the teeth from engaging.
Zipper maintenance:
To ensure exceptional smoothness for your zippers, remember to spray them regularly with a PTFE spray, which you can also purchase on our site by clicking here.
Exposed to salt and sand, it is necessary to lubricate the zippers, and definitely not with petroleum-based products like WD40 but with PTFE, commonly called Teflon.
If a tooth breaks, the entire zipper must be replaced.
If it is only the slider, it can be replaced.
