What sets it apart and its advantages
The coated Sunbrella stands out due to its special coating that further enhances its resistance to weather, UV rays, and fading. This coating provides increased protection against the elements, ensuring exceptional durability in the most demanding marine environments.
This waterproof coating provides an effective barrier against water while maintaining its flexibility and aesthetic appeal.
Besides its resistance to weather conditions, the coated Sunbrella also offers excellent resistance to stains, mold, and tears. Its easy maintenance makes it a practical choice for those seeking a solution that is both high-performing and attractive.
It is also an excellent UV barrier, as it is recommended by the Cancer Foundation.
Whether for outfitting a pleasure boat, creating high-end outdoor accessories, or designing durable fittings, the coated Sunbrella marine fabric stands out as the preferred choice of professionals and discerning enthusiasts.
What are the differences between coated and uncoated Sunbrella?
The main difference lies in the level of protection they offer and their specific applications. For more detailed information, please consult our guide by clicking here.
To help you choose
- Choose coated Sunbrella whenever the protection you are making is ventilated (roof cover, bimini, top, etc.)
- Opt for uncoated Sunbrella whenever the protection encloses the item you want to protect (mainsail cover, lazy bag, seat cover, for example)
How to maintain a Sunbrella marine fabric?
To preserve its optimal condition, start by brushing off dirt, then dampen with cold water. Use a brush with a mixture of water and specific soap, scrub, let it act, and rinse thoroughly. Air dry. Avoid washing machines and high-pressure washing. These simple steps will ensure the longevity of your Sunbrella fabric.
