How the flat deck cover fits your boat

Most of our flat deck covers are designed for boats with the mast up, but on request, we can make a cover for a boat with the mast down. This is more commonly requested for boats under 25 feet.

This mooring cover lies against the deck, following its contours. For example, if it rests on a winch, we add reinforcement at the contact point.
The cover stops short of the stanchion bases, leaving enough room to tension the fabric. It features a mast collar: the mast base is enclosed in a sleeve that is secured at the top with straps. The sleeve is generally made in two sections joined by a sturdy YKK nylon zipper, including the slider!
This cover protects your boat’s entire deck from the elements, dirt and UV damage. Spend less time on maintenance and more time sailing. Extend your boat’s lifespan and preserve its value.

A choice of high-quality marine-grade materials

All areas subject to chafing are reinforced.

We use polyester fabric coated with PVC on both sides. It is durable, lightweight, low-stretch, mold-resistant and abrasion-resistant—just what you need to protect your sailboat.

Although it is not as airtight as a winter cover, the flat deck cover also features a vent to prevent condensation from forming beneath the PVC fabric.
We use highly break- and UV-resistant sailmaker’s thread to ensure our seams are durable.

A secure fit for a longer-lasting cover

We provide numerous attachment points and recommend using them all to ensure the cover is fitted correctly. A single strong gust can tear a poorly fitted cover. It is essential to tension the straps and lines correctly. If a storm is forecast and your boat is exposed to prevailing winds, we recommend temporarily removing the cover.
