Flat deck cover Dufour 32
Full deck cover whose particularity is to lie flat on the boat's deck. Requiring less fabric and less assembly time, the flat deck cover is the economical version of the winter cover.
Description
Configuration of the flat deck cover on the boat
The boat usually remains rigged with most of our flat deck covers, but upon request, we can make the cover for an unrigged boat, which typically applies to boats under 25 feet.
This mooring cover is fitted tightly to the deck, following its irregularities. For example, it will rest on a winch, so we add reinforcement at the contact point.
This cover stops before the base of the stanchions, with enough clearance to tension the fabric. It is equipped with a mast collar, meaning the mast base is enclosed in a sleeve strapped at the top and is generally made in two parts connected by a sturdy YKK nylon zipper, including the slider!
This cover protects the entire deck of your boat from weather, external dirt, and UV-related damage. Save time on maintenance to enjoy more time sailing. Extend the longevity and value of your boat.
Customized to your boat’s specific features (photos required). By features, we mean equipment such as: bimini, arch, davit, navigation light, antenna, and any added deck fittings.
A selection of marine-grade materials
All rubbing areas are reinforced.
We use a polyester tarp coated with PVC on both sides that is durable, lightweight, low-stretch, mold-resistant, and abrasion-resistant—exactly what you need to protect your sailboat.
Although less airtight than a winter cover, the flat deck cover is also equipped with a vent to prevent condensation under the PVC tarp.
We use highly resistant sail thread that withstands breakage and UV exposure to secure our seams.
A fit that guarantees the cover’s durability
A large number of fastenings are provided, and we recommend using them all to properly adjust the protective cover. A single strong gust of wind can tear a poorly fitted cover. Correct tensioning of straps and cords is crucial. In case of a storm with your boat exposed to prevailing winds, we recommend temporarily removing your cover.
The photo shows the cover placed on the boat; tensioning has not been applied, so the appearance is not optimal.
