Description
Flat-deck cover configuration on your boat
Most of our flat-deck covers are designed for boats with the mast stepped. However, on request, we can make a cover for a boat with the mast unstepped; this is generally for boats under 25 feet.
This mooring cover lies flat against the deck, following its contours. For example, it may rest on a winch, in which case we add reinforcement at the contact point.
The cover stops before the stanchion bases, leaving enough clearance to tension the fabric. It has a mast collar: the mast base is enclosed in a sleeve secured at the top with a strap. The cover is generally made in two sections joined by a sturdy YKK nylon zipper—including the slider!
This cover protects your boat’s entire deck from the elements, outdoor dirt and UV damage. Spend less time on maintenance and more time out on the water. Extend your boat’s lifespan and preserve its value.

A choice of high-quality marine-grade materials
All chafe-prone areas are reinforced.
We use a durable, lightweight, low-stretch polyester fabric coated on both sides with PVC. It is resistant to mildew and abrasion—exactly what you need to protect your sailboat.
Although it is less airtight than a winter cover, the flat-deck cover also has a vent to prevent condensation from forming beneath the PVC cover.
We use highly break- and UV-resistant sailmaking thread to ensure our seams last.
A proper fit helps your cover last
The cover has numerous attachment points, and we recommend using them all to ensure the protective cover is properly fitted. A single strong gust can tear a poorly fitted cover. Correct tension on the straps and ropes is essential. If a storm is forecast and your boat is exposed to the prevailing winds, we recommend temporarily removing the cover.
