The custom cover we make for your boat has no frame: instead, we make use of the boom to create a tent-like cover that shelters the entire boat. This reusable cover is a long-term investment and can last from eight to 15 years, depending on how well it is maintained, with a thorough seam overhaul after around eight years. It must always be removed before storms.

It is essential to ensure the cover fits properly, as strong winds can tear a poorly fitted cover. The straps and lines must be tensioned correctly.

The winter cover is ventilated

For our covers, we use polyester fabric coated with PVC on both sides. This fabric offers several advantages, including strength, light weight, low stretch, and resistance to mildew and abrasion—ideal qualities for protecting your sailboat. However, as this material is not breathable, we incorporate essential vents during fabrication to ensure adequate ventilation beneath the cover throughout the winter storage period.

Quality built with a selection of durable marine-grade materials

To ensure maximum service life, we avoid using stainless steel eyelets, opting instead for strong webbing loops or quick-release fasteners. Metal eyelets are known to cause abrasion and should never come into direct contact with the surface being protected. We use sailmaking thread that is resistant to breakage and UV exposure to ensure optimal durability.

Expert craftsmanship for a precise fit

In most cases, your boat cover comes in two sections joined by a zipper, usually between the mast and the cockpit companionway. Reinforcements are sewn in at every chafe point. The cover passes over the stanchions and extends slightly down over the hull. It is secured from inside the boat at the base of each stanchion, usually with a strap threaded through a ladder-lock buckle.
We never design fastenings that require drilling, as there are already plenty of suitable attachment points on board.
The mast base is enclosed by a raised sleeve, which is strapped at the top to help prevent water from entering.
