Description
How the flat deck cover is configured on your boat
Most of our flat deck covers are designed for boats with the mast still stepped. However, on request, we can make a cover for a boat with the mast removed; this is generally for boats under 25 feet.
This cover lies against the deck, following its contours. For example, it may rest on a winch, in which case we add reinforcement at the contact point.
The cover stops short of the stanchion bases, leaving enough clearance to tension the fabric. It has a mast boot: the foot of the mast is enclosed in a sleeve secured at the top with a strap. The boot is generally made in two sections joined by a strong YKK nylon zipper, including the slider!
This cover protects your boat’s entire deck from the weather, outdoor dirt and UV damage. Spend less time on maintenance and more time sailing. Extend your boat’s lifespan and preserve its value.

A choice of quality marine-grade materials
All chafe-prone areas are reinforced.
We use a durable, lightweight, low-stretch polyester fabric coated with PVC on both sides. It is resistant to mildew and abrasion—exactly what you need to protect your sailboat.
Although it is not as airtight as a winter cover, the flat deck cover also has a vent to prevent condensation beneath the PVC fabric.
We use highly tear-resistant, UV-resistant sailmaking thread to secure our seams.
A proper fit helps extend the cover’s lifespan
A large number of fastening points are provided, and we recommend using them all to ensure the protective cover is properly fitted. A single strong gust of wind can tear a poorly fitted cover. It is crucial to tension the straps and lines correctly. If a storm is forecast and your boat is exposed to prevailing winds, we recommend temporarily removing the cover.
