The custom cover we make for your boat has no frame. Instead, we use the boom to create a tent-like structure that covers the entire boat. This reusable cover offers long-term savings and can last 8 to 15 years, depending on how well it is cared for. The seams should be thoroughly reinforced after around eight years, and the cover should never be left in place during storms.

It is crucial to fit the cover correctly, as a strong gust of wind can tear a poorly fitted cover. Proper tension on the straps and lines is essential.

The winter cover is ventilated

For our covers, we use PVC-coated polyester fabric, coated on both sides. It is strong, lightweight, low-stretch, and resistant to mould and abrasion—ideal qualities for protecting your sailboat. However, this material is not breathable, so we sew in essential vents to ensure airflow beneath the cover during the long months it is in place.

Quality backed by a selection of durable marine-grade materials

To ensure maximum service life, we avoid using stainless steel eyelets, and instead prefer strong webbing loops or quick-release fasteners. Metal eyelets are known to cause abrasion and should never come into direct contact with the surface being protected. We use strong, UV-resistant sail thread for our seams to ensure lasting durability.

Expert craftsmanship for a tailored fit

In most cases, your boat cover comes in two sections joined by a zipper, usually between the mast and the cockpit companionway. Reinforcements are sewn at all chafe points. The cover passes over the stanchions and extends just slightly down over the hull. It is secured from inside the boat at each stanchion base, usually with a strap threaded through a ladder lock.
We never design attachment points that require drilling, as there are plenty of suitable existing attachment points on board.
The mast base sits inside a sleeve that is strapped at the top to limit water ingress.
