Using a mooring cover is one of the most effective ways to protect your boat from the sun's rays, rain and other elements that can damage the hull and upholstery. Polyester is a material commonly used in boat construction. Although it is resistant to UV rays, it can deteriorate over time when exposed to the elements. UV rays can cause the polyester surface to fade and deteriorate. Using a mooring cover protects the polyester surface from UV rays, helping to extend your boat's lifespan.
When you invest in an Activ 675 Cruiser, it is essential to protect it from the elements.
This full boat cover, from bow to stern, excluding the rails, protects your boat from bad weather, dirt and UV damage.
Spend less time on maintenance and more time out on the water. Extend the lifespan and preserve the value of your Quicksilver Activ 675 Cruiser.
Our boat cover is made to suit your preference, either:
- in marine-grade polyester tarp, coated on both sides and weighing 325 g/m².
- or in polyester fabric with a woven-fabric appearance
We use the boat's existing attachment points to secure the mooring cover, so no drilling is required.
The marine fabric is secured around the cleats and rail supports using either:
- Straps wrapped around the stainless-steel rails and/or cleats, then threaded through a ladder-lock buckle and pulled tight. (A ladder-lock buckle is the flat buckle commonly found on backpacks, for example.)
- Shock cord wrapped around the stainless-steel rails and/or cleats and passed through eyelets.
The outboard motor is not covered. Please see the covers we offer for protecting motors.
Each cover is custom-made to accommodate your boat's equipment (photos required). This includes equipment such as a bimini, supports, roll bar, tow arch, navigation light, antenna, etc. Please specify any special requirements when ordering.
This protective cover is designed for use ashore or at anchor. It must be removed before transporting the boat for two reasons: firstly, for safety, as the cover could come loose; and secondly, friction caused by the speed could damage the boat's surface and lead to premature wear.
Please note that the cover is not designed to withstand strong winds, such as those associated with storms, cyclones or hurricanes. It must be removed before severe weather arrives.
Strong winds have a greater effect when the boat is ashore on a cradle, that is, elevated off the ground, especially if it is not facing into the prevailing wind.
The cover is designed for a boat without a bimini.
