Description
The winter cover for the Medline 500 rigid inflatable boat is an essential piece of equipment to protect your boat from bad weather, UV rays, and dirt during the winter months or when it is not in use for an extended period.
Since it is easy to handle, you can also put it back on between launches during the season.
The boat cover made by SNA is crafted from a high-quality marine material, consisting of polyester coated with PVC on both sides and lightweight, 325g/m², which is half the weight of a truck tarp. The color is gray.
The cover protects the entire boat, from the front (from the bow roller, which remains accessible in 95% of our covers) to the transom, excluding the engine so it can be fully raised. You will find covers for your outboard motor on our website.
The tarp is attached to the float’s fender (also called the anti-chafing strip, which absorbs shocks so that the float itself is not in direct contact) by hooks connected with a bungee cord. For balanced fastening, the bungee (thick elastic) passes through eyelets distributed around the tarp’s perimeter. To prevent the stainless steel eyelets from touching the float, we sew a PVC fabric flap underneath the eyelets. The plastic hooks attach to the gutter located underneath the fender. For all fastening details, please refer to our video installation tutorial.
You will notice that installing the boat cover requires no drilling.
We use all the natural attachment points already present on your inflatable boat.
Each boat is unique, and our covers recognize that. Our commitment to customization means you will find the perfect size and shape for your vessel.
We check the position of the console when it is bolted, the presence of a bimini, a roll-bar, railings…
For example, the position of the console when it is not molded must be confirmed with a measurement form that we send you after your order or that you can fill out immediately by downloading it.
The bimini and roll-bar options must be indicated by selecting the option when adding the product to your cart. There is also a measurement form to complete so we can plan the necessary openings for the roll-bar legs.
We anticipate everything as much as possible so that you are fully satisfied with your purchase.
The boat cover is equipped with a vent to ensure ventilation under the cover.
All seams are sewn with a UV-resistant sail thread, which ensures great durability for the covers.
The cover is delivered to you in a bag.
This SNA marine accessory goes beyond simple seasonal protection. It preserves the value of your investment by minimizing wear caused by the elements. Your boat stays in better condition, ready to sail. In addition to protecting your boat, our cover also offers practical advantages. Easy to handle, you can put it in place between launches during the season.
Please note that this full cover must be removed before driving on the road.
During the boating season, it is also useful to have console and seat covers that you put on each evening instead of using the mooring cover.
Finally, you can be reassured by the exceptional quality of our boat cover, also commonly called a mooring cover, even though it is more difficult to install when the boat is in the water. Made by our company SNA in Brittany, which is a trusted company with 13 years of experience dedicated to customer satisfaction.
