Hanse 588 Steering Wheel Cover
It is important to protect the steering wheel of your Hanse 588. Whether it is made of stainless steel, covered with genuine leather wrapping or not, carbon, or aluminum, it is essential to cover it with a cover to keep it looking new and to protect the mechanisms that make it work. The hub and steering brake deteriorate quickly without maintenance.
When the steering wheel is mounted on a column that also houses instruments, it is almost always necessary to cover the entire assembly. If the column is used solely to support the steering wheel, the wheel is protected only by a fabric pad closed with a zipper.

Description
Our covers are made of Dralon, which is a breathable acrylic fabric, UV-resistant, and waterproof. This allows for:
- Protection against the elements: The cover protects the steering wheel from the harmful effects of rain, snow, sun, and wind. This helps prevent corrosion and keeps the wheel in good condition.
- Protection against UV rays: The sun's UV rays can damage stainless steel, leather, carbon, or aluminum surfaces of the steering wheel. The cover protects these materials from fading and cracking.
- Reduction of wear and tear: By protecting the steering wheel from the elements and limiting exposure to abrasion caused by friction, the cover helps extend the lifespan of this equipment.
The cover is equipped with a 10mm YKK zipper, usually placed on the front side to facilitate installation. If the cover covers instruments, snaps or other fasteners are added to maximize fit (screw-in fasteners for the boat are provided).
We guarantee the fit of the cover, as wind flapping is a guaranteed cause of rapid damage.
Each cover is made in Brittany.
